			<description>&lt;p&gt;The United States Geological Survey document, &amp;ldquo;Estimated Use of Water in the United States in 1995,&amp;rdquo; states that, of the 40 billion gallons of water withdrawn each day by water utilities, only 34 billion gallons made it to the end-use customers.
